People would say that my health situation is impossible, that there is no way out and I’m going to have to deal with it for the rest of my life. But the awesome part is I serve a mighty God and He is the God of the impossible, He’s bigger than any and every situation that you may face. How’s that saying go “Stop telling God how big your problems are and start telling your problems how big your God is.”
I trust Him wholeheartedly now I didn’t use to though, I thought I was the only exception in the world I remember I would say ” oh yea God can heal you but He can’t do that for me” but praise God for it being a new day! I believe with out a shadow of a doubt that He is willing and able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or think for me. I am His child and He wants the very best for me in every aspect of my life and He isn’t going to with hold any good thing from me isn’t that awesome! He knows my thoughts, the motives of my heart and He still loves me flaws and all. He loves you too and He is waiting for you arms wide open to run to Him with your life!

Mark 9:23 - ” If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes”

When I go into the emergency room most doctors refer to me as “the sickler” so in my mind that means I’m just another case. Why do they not see this beautiful person with a face, but NO they only see a label which says SICKLE CELL DISEASE. Why can’t they see that I have the disease and the disease does not define who I am? I wish at times that for just one day they could feel what I feel, to be in so much pain that at times you wish you were dead. In that one split moment, eyes would be opened so they can actually see me as a human being and not just as a case. Do me a favor and give me a little more credit because I have to deal with this for a lifetime and you may only have to deal with it for this specific day.  

Why can’t they see me?

A Young  lady with dreams. wants, and desires like them.

A young lady who wants to live, laugh, and love.

A young lady with intelligence, emotions, and abilities.

Why won’t you see me?

All you can see is a chart with the three little words Sickle Cell Anemia

But are you so blind in your medicine that you can not see

A young lady with a child like heart

Please look at me for I don’t want to be known just as a case

But for as a beautiful young womon that will one day come
